Winter is still here but MLB spring training will start in just a few weeks. Baseball fans can make their sports-viewing experiences even more fulfilling by accessing exclusive content on a variety of apps. Here are our 5 favorite baseball apps to guide you through the pre-season and the regular season.

  1. The Bleacher Report

Die-hard fans can get their team’s news and scores from across the web in a curated, easy-to-use format. Personalized streams keep track of scores, stories, videos, and photos curated from local newspapers, national websites, Twitter, blogs, and more. Subscribers can receive alerts for breaking baseball news, too. Connect across social media by breaking alerts and news to Facebook, Twitter, email and more. Game highlights are available and users can follow live games for statistics, scores and player information.

  2. theScore: Sports News & Scores

theScore offers full coverage of not just MLB content but NFL, NBA, NHL, NCAA, English Premier League Soccer, La Liga Soccer, Champions League Soccer, Golf, Tennis, MMA, and more. Users can design their feed to represent their favorite team(s). What’s unique about this app is the Chat & Messaging service. This is a way for fans to connect over their favorite players, teams, games, and more. There’s curated content, too, based on the biggest social and multimedia stories.

  3. MLB At Bat

MLB At Bat is every baseball fanatic’s dream app. MLB At Bat is the official app of Major League Baseball (MLB). Keep track of your favorite team and customize your iPhone® device or iPad® tablet screens with MLB Club-branded app icons. A variety of statistics are available with one swipe including sortable batting, pitching, and fielding stats. MLB At Bat includes features such as MLB.TV Game of the Day, in-game highlights, and you can even listen to home, away, and Spanish language radio broadcasts. Subscribers can watch video of select live broadcasts (with At Bat Premium) and picture-in-picture streaming for live videos and highlights. Fans can follow their favorite teams and ballparks as the app offers realistic ballpark renderings from all 30 MLB parks. Monthly ($2.99) and annual ($19.99) subscriptions are available for a fee. This is a free service for MLB.TV subscribers.

  4. Yahoo Sports!: Scores & News

Yahoo Sports! Is an essential tool for sports fans who prefer exclusive content. The Yahoo Sports! website began back in 1997 and is considered one of the most important sources for anything sports. Users can set-up their own personalized experience within the Yahoo Sports! app. Set alerts for favorite teams and receive notifications on scores and game starts. Yahoo Sports! Includes Yahoo Fantasy Slate, a prediction game; scores; highlights; breaking news and stats. Stream content and follow all of your favorite leagues.

  5. ESPN

ESPN is one of the most reliable names in sports reporting so it makes sense that they make one of the most trusted sports apps. Users can stream content and live games from ESPN networks including MLB, NFL, College Football, NBA, College Basketball, and more. Subscribers will have access to thousands of live and on-demand events. Streaming is available with a variety of TV providers.
