You have to go SOUTH before you can go NORTH at the new I-95 northbound on-ramp at Exit 118/Thornburg. To improve traffic flow, eastbound Mudd Tavern Road traffic has a dedicated right turn lane to merge onto northbound I-95. Drivers on eastbound Mudd Tavern Road will go right, which points south, then merge with Mallard Road drivers also seeking northbound I-95. Westbound drivers will now have to make a left onto Mallard Road to access the on-ramp to northbound I-95.
