Over one million dollars in damage at Stafford construction site

From The Stafford Sheriff’s Office:

On Tuesday,  Deputy Thomas responded to a reported past occurred vandalism of heavy equipment at a construction site on Potomac Creek Drive. Upon arrival, he made contact with the complainant who advised that he found extensive damage to one of the excavators when he arrived at the site that morning.

It appears that the excavator was damaged by another excavator at the site. Orange paint transfer from the damaged excavator was found on the machine. The complainant estimated $1.2 million in damages.

The machine was last seen in good working condition on May 11.   Patrol units have been performing extra checks in the area.
Stafford detectives are currently investigating the incident and are asking anyone with information to contact Detective Dupree at (540) 658-4515.
