To protect motorists, and stage construction materials and equipment, some lane closures are needed on I-95 southbound and Route 17, with some full intermittent stops on Route 17 and several I-95 ramps. Here’s what you should know for this week:

I-95 Southbound: Expect delays approaching Exit 133/Route 17. Single lane closure Monday-Thursday evenings starting at 9 p.m., with a double lane closure at 10 p.m. until 4 a.m. Single lane closure may remain in place until 10 a.m. (except the morning of Friday, June 7, when all southbound lanes must reopen by 6 a.m.)

Route 17 Northbound: Expect brief delays at I-95 interchange area between 9 p.m. and 4 a.m. for a single lane closure, with full traffic stops up to 30 minutes between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. when beams are being moved over travel lanes into position.

I-95 Northbound Exit Ramp to Route 17 Northbound: Expect ramp to be closed intermittently between 11 p.m. and 4 a.m. on Monday through Thursday evenings due to beam placement. Plan to use Exit 130/Route 3 in Fredericksburg or Exit 136/Centreport Parkway as alternate exits.

Another week of beam placement is scheduled for June 10-13
