Fredericksburg City Council votes 6-1 to move the slave auction block to the Fredericksburg Area Museum. Councilman Matt Kelly voted no.
The motion by Councilman Chuck Frye asks the City Manager to present a plan to council at it’s July 9th meeting on removing the slave block by the end of the year. This vote reverses a vote in 2017 to leave the slave block in place.
