New car seat law takes effect July 1

Under the new car seat law, children must ride in rear-facing car seats until the age of 2 or until they meet the minimum weight and height standards for a forward-facing seat as prescribed by the manufacturer of the safety seat.

Also  remember that children must be secured in a safety seat until their 8th birthday.  The Stafford Sheriff’s Office says if you  need help installing the seat Ne, don’t hesitate to reach out.    You can make an appointment at  www.staffordsheriff.com.
