Help plan the future for Fredericksburg parks

by | Aug 6, 2019 | Government

The Fredericksburg Parks, Recreation & Events Department is hosting an Open House for public input on Fredericksburg’s Parks Strategic Plan on Monday, August 12th from 5-8 and on Tuesday the 13th from 11am-1pm at the Dorothy Hart Community Center on Canal Street.

The drop-in style of open house will allow participants a chance to express what they feel are the important park amenities for the community. Consultants and staff will be on site to ask questions and receive all comments about what our community needs for park and trail improvements.

Lose Design of Nashville, Tennessee has been hired by the City to perform a Parks and Recreation Strategic Plan.  Public input from the August 12th and 13th open houses is the important first step in a months-long process designed to help the City determine the future of our parks. This plan will serve as a guide for the City’s development, expansion and improvement of parks and recreation facilities for many years into the future.
