Two Spotsylvania men have been arrested and charged with contributing to the delinquency of a minor, possession of marijuana, underage possession of alcohol and a summons for underage possession of tobacco products.  23-year old Justin Poe and 18 year old Isaiah Grubb were taken to the Rappahannock Regional Jail.

Police say on 10/02/19 at approximately 5:00 AM, Deputies responded to the area of Alliance Way in reference to report of a group of suspicious subjects looking into several unattended vehicles. Upon arrival, Deputies were able to locate the suspects attempting to leave the area.  Grubb and Poe were detained along with 2 juveniles that were in the rear passenger seats of the vehicle.

During the search of the suspects and the vehicle, Deputies located numerous cellphones, jewelry, shoes, marijuana, tobacco, alcohol, an IPAD and cash/coins. They were able to locate at least one victim, who identified several of the items as being stolen from his unlocked car.

It was also discovered that one of the juveniles was currently listed as a runaway. Both juveniles were turned over to their parents, pending future charges.

Sheriff Harris thanked citizens for recognizing that a suspicious act was occurring and taking the initiative to notify Law Enforcement. “It is acts like this that make our community a safer place to live.” We continually encourage citizens to, “See Something Say Something”.
