A Fredericksburg man has been arrested by the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office in connection with a fatal hit and run on October 26th on Courthouse Road. 32-year old Christopher Dickerson was arraigned in Spotsylvania Circuit Court on Monday and charged with felony hit and run in the death of 41-year old Deven Morgan of Fredericksburg. Dickerson is being held without bond in the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
Police say Morgan was attempting to cross Courthouse Road in the Four Mile Fork area about 11pm when he was hit. The driver fled the scene. The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office says during the course of the investigation, deputies received search warrants on Dickerson’s vehicle and home, where key pieces of evidence were recovered.
