Fredericksburg Police are investigating an armed robbery at RD Mart on Route 3 about 12:45 Tuesday morning. Police say a black male entered the gas station, displayed a handgun, and demanded money from the clerk. The suspect fled with an undisclosed amount of cash. The suspect was wearing a bright orange hooded sweatshirt with a log on the front, dark blue jeans, white shoes, and a bandana over his face. Police say he may have short hair on top with a fade on the sides. He is approximately 5’8” to 5’10”, 150 to 170 pounds, and about 18 to 30 years old.
