First babies of the new decade!

From Mary Washington Healthcare:

Mary Washington Hospital welcomed the first baby of the new year born in the Fredericksburg region.

Baby girl Winter Wren Kagarise was born at 4:32 a.m. to Leah and Marcus of King George, weighing 7 pounds 5 ounces and 19 inches long. Winter is the fourth child for the parents and was greeted by a room full of family including her siblings, Jacob, Willow, and Abigail as well as her great-grandparents and grandparents.“I was not expecting to have the first baby born in the region,” said Leah. “I was prepared to go home because I was not progressing. I feel like this is a dream.”

Stafford Hospital welcomed their first baby born of the new decade at 8:27 a.m. Baby boy Winter Gael Aparicio was born to Yoxany Maldonado and Gerber Aparicio, weighing 6 pounds 8 ounces and 20 inches long.
