From Fredericksburg Police:

The Fredericksburg Police Department is actively investigating a single gunshot fired early Sunday at the Wawa convenience store located at 2390 Plank Road. At 2:30 a.m., the Fredericksburg E-911 Center received a call from a Wawa employee who saw a male fire a gun towards a vehicle parked at one of the pump stations.

Patrol officers responded and located the victim who was not harmed. The victim reported an unknown black male (suspect) was standing alone in front of Wawa and began a verbal altercation with him. The victim proceeded to pump gas during which time three males exited the store and started walking towards a parked vehicle with the suspect. The suspect then pulled a gun from the car, pointed it towards the victim, and fired it into the gas pump ceiling. The suspect and three associates left the incident in a white four-door Lincoln sedan.

The suspect is described as light skinned black male, approximately 5’7” and was wearing a black hat and black hooded-sweatshirt.

The investigation is active and ongoing. More information will be released as it develops.
