She previously served as Deputy Executive Director of the Williamsburg Area Transit Authority.

“FRED is a tremendous regional asset, supporting access to public services, health care, shopping and employment.  As our region evolves and grows it will be important to better integrate enhancements that bring more regular transit operations to community assets.  We look forward to Ms. Jackson’s leadership and experience bringing us to the next level in this new decade,” stated Fredericksburg City Manager Tim Baroody.

“FREDericksburg Regional Transit is a great transit system that continues to have a positive impact on the region,” said Ms. Jackson. “I am excited about the opportunity to lead the system, be a part of the FRED team, engage the community, and offer and implement high quality transit service to our customers. I look forward to continuing the great work that has been done and will lead the continued advancement of FRED to mirror the exciting growth that is occurring in the region by providing excellent transit service and mobility options for our customers.”
