In the midst of the rapidly changing situation surrounding COVID-19, Rappahannock Area Community Services Board remains committed to serving the most vulnerable individuals in the greater Fredericksburg community. As the agency strives to balance the health and safety of its employees and clients with the needs of individuals seeking services, some changes have been made.
RACSB’s day support programs for adults with mental illness and for adults with developmental disabilities will be closed through March 30. Therapy groups, prevention trainings, and community meetings have also been canceled for the remainder of the month.
Starting March 19, the agency will move from offering Same Day Access to scheduled intake appointments. Individuals should call their local clinic to schedule an appointment.

Additionally, the agency has changed its check-in procedures for clinical appointments. For the near future, individuals should check in at the front desk. They will be asked to wait in the parking lot and will receive a call or text when it is time to see the clinician.
RACSB’s emergency services will be available 24 hours a day. Anyone experiencing a mental health crisis should call 540/373-6876.
