City urges May 5th voters to participate absentee

From the City of Fredericksburg:

 The City of Fredericksburg has a May 5, 2020 General Election scheduled for the offices of Mayor, At-large City Council, and At-large School Board.

Due to the COVID-19 Coronavirus and per Virginia Department of Elections instructions all voters are eligible to request and receive a ballot by mail. You should make your request today.

Absentee ballot applications may be completed online through the Virginia Department of Elections website, elections.virginia.gov, the City of Fredericksburg Voter Registrar webpage of fredericksburgva.gov, by contacting the voter registrar’s office by email, [email protected], or by calling the Voter Registration office, 540-372-1030.

Voters will use the reason code “2A-my disabilities or illness” when completing the application.

Online absentee applications are preferred and will be sent directly to the registrar’s office for processing. Paper absentee applications may be completed and returned to the Registrar’s office by fax, email, or mail to the following:
