The Rappahannock Area Health District says they are now monitoring seven coronavirus cases in the region. Five in Stafford. Two in Spotsylvania.

The health department is reaching out to close contacts of the patients who might have been exposed.  Those people will be asked to stay at home and away from others for 14 days.  “It’s important for our residents to continue to follow public health guidelines on social distancing and good hygiene to lower the risk of spreading respiratory infections, including COVID-19 in our community.”

Statewide, confirmed cases increased from 114 on Friday to 152 Saturday.
