A happy ending Friday night for a Caroline County family, thanks to the efforts of Chesterfield County Fire and EMS Flight Paramedic Nik Rones. He, along with VCU Health Flight Nurse Jamie Graff and State Police  Aviation 1st Sergeant-Pilot Jeff Bush, assisted the Caroline County Sheriff’s Office  with the search for a missing 3-year-old girl.

She had chased after the family’s yellow lab and gotten lost in the woods. From the air, Ronesi spotted the lab’s florescent collar. MedFlight 1 landed, Ronesi forged his way thru a marsh – waist high- and scooped up the little girl. Aside from being cold & a few scratches, she was not injured and got a quick flight back to her home where she was reunited with her parents.
