28 cases of COVID-19 in the Fredericksburg area

The Rappahannock Area Health District reports 28 cases of COVID-19 in the region.  Of those cases, 11 are hospitalized.  The local Health Department is conducting contact tracing for all the new cases reported.  Locally, 18 in Stafford, 6 in Spotsylvania, 2 in the City, 2 in King George.

In Virginia, 10,609 persons have been tested.  890 have tested positive for the disease and 112 have required hospitalization.  That’s a 151% increase over Saturday and the biggest increase in total number of cases in Virginia so far.

There have been 22 COVID-19 deaths in Virginia.
