Two Maryland residents face carjacking charges in King George

The King George Sheriff’s has made two arrests in connection with an armed robbery in late February in Dahlgren.
 
Authorities say the victim called 9-1-1 and reported that he had just been robbed at gunpoint. The victim said he was driving home and a vehicle followed him from Maryland to his home in King George. The victim had just cashed a check in Waldorf when he noticed the vehicle following him.
 
Once the victim arrived at his home in King George, he was confronted by one of the passengers in the car following him. He was robbed at gunpoint and his pick-up truck stolen. The truck was later found by a deputy abandoned at a local car dealership.
 
21 year old Cortez Washington of Temple Hills, Maryland and 19 year old Jaloni Lee of Waldorf were charged several charges including armed robbery and armed carjacking.
 
The King George Sheriff’s Office was assisted by the Charles County Sheriff’s Office and U-S Marshals.
