Main Street Fredericksburg launches survey

From Fredericksburg VA Main Street

These are unprecedented times, and we are all figuring out a new way of taking care of normal day-to-day activities.  Downtown businesses demonstrated their independent spirit by facing down this challenge and pivoting their businesses to remain viable and strong during this time.  Our Main Street community is the HEART of Fredericksburg, and through all stages of this pandemic we will continue to demonstrate why we are FXBG STRONG!

We are at a very important crossroad as we prepare to reopen Downtown.  Now is the time for businesses to prepare their spaces and staff for important safety considerations.  You can help us with this transition by completing the survey link below.  Survey will be open through May 11.

The feedback will be used to develop an overall “Reboot Downtown! Initiative”.  There is no specific date that Downtown will reopen.  Each business and industry will follow Federal, State, and local guidance to ensure that they keep their staff and customers safe.  Please continue to follow the Fredericksburg Downtown Facebook page and your favorite businesses social media pages for the up-to-date reopening plan.

The creation of this survey was done in collaboration with the University of Mary Washington. Fredericksburg Main Street recognizes the time and expertise of Leslie Martin, Director of the Center for Community Engagement; Kashef Majid, associate professor of Marketing in the College of Business; and Dave Kolar, professor in the Department of Psychological Sciences in the College of Arts & Sciences. It’s another example of the community working together towards a common goal.

“We are grateful of the public support of the Downtown community and our Main Street Organization.  We quite literally could not do it without you!” states April Peterson, president of Fredericksburg VA Main Street.
