Fredericksburg Fire Chief Mike Jones presents today's Fredericksburg update on Covid-19. Current case statistics are not available, due to technical difficulty with the Virginia Department of Health Website.Chief reminds us that the City's local election is scheduled for Tuesday, May 19, 2020. There will be a polling place for voting in person, although we encourage everyone to vote by absentee ballot. The deadline to request an absentee ballot is 5:00pm on Tuesday, May 12th. May is Mental Health Awareness Month. The National Suicide Hotline is 1-800-273-TALK. It's National Nurses Week, and today is National Nurse's Day, May 6th. So please be sure thank a nurse and all front line workers for helping stem the tide of Covid-19.
