COVID-19 numbers climbing locally, but trending down statewide

The Rappahannock Area Health District reports 35 are hospitalized. That’s three more than yesterday.
 
The Health District is monitoring 1,059 confirmed cases of COVID-19. 26 more than Tuesday.

Eileen Sousa with the Health District says the majority of cases continue to be adults 20-49 years old.
 
Figures on the State Department of Health website show the 7-day moving average has been on a downward trend since the start of May. The data also show statewide deaths by age group.
