Protesters returned to Market Square Wednesday in Fredericksburg, while the city extended its curfew.

“We have credible threats of violent or unlawful actions by groups or individuals,” said City Manager Tim Baroody. “The City implores our residents to peacefully protest, but then to clear the streets by 8:30pm each evening through Sunday night. Together we can all work to protect our community.”

The nightly curfews from 8:30 pm to 6 am will be in place Wednesday night through Monday morning.

After a peaceful Tuesday march dispersed, police issued several citations before the 8 p.m. curfew.

Stafford County also announced the arrest of a man who smashed a window of a car on the Falmouth bridge Monday.
