Statewide, the percentage of positive results from COVID-19 testing is down

The Rappahannock Area Health District reports 30 people hospitalized with COVID-19. 41 new cases in the past 24 hours.

While total cases continue to increase, data from the State Health Department coronavirus dashboard show the seven-day average for confirmed and probable cases dropped in late May.
 
Statewide, the percentage of positive results from COVID-19 testing is down. The seven-day average for percent of positive test results was at 10.1% as of Tuesday, which is the most recent figure provided by VDH. That’s down from a peak of 22.2% on April 19.
