Spotsylvania man in his 60’s is the 20th coronavirus victim in the area
The Rappahannock Area Health District is monitoring 34 people in the hospital. That’s one less than a week ago today.
The Health District reports the 20th death in the region–a Spotsylvania man in his 60’s.
Eileen Sousa with the Health District reports 27 new cases since yesterday for an overall number of 1,889.
As the overall number of positive COVID-19 test results in Virginia grows, data from the VDH coronavirus dashboard show the percentage of positive results from testing is down. The seven-day average for percent of positive test results was 10% as of Thursday, which is the most recent figure provided by the State Health Department. That’s down from a peak of 22.2% on April 19.
