Area Health District reports five deaths over the weekend. Hospitalizations down 13 since last week

The Rappahannock Area Health District reports five new COVID-19 deaths since Friday. Four in Spotsylvania: a woman in her 70’s, a man in his 90’s, a woman in her 80’s and a man in his 70’s. Seven people have died from the coronavirus at the Carriage Hill Nursing Home. The fifth death over the weekend was a Caroline man in his 50’s.
 
The Health District has 29 total deaths:
 
Spotsylvania 16
Stafford 5
King George 4
Caroline 4
Fredericksburg 0
 
21 patients are hospitalized with COVID-19. That’s 13 less than a week ago. 35 new cases since Sunday for a total of 2,140.
