Two more COVID-19 deaths in the region: 34 total

The Rappahannock Area Health District reports the deaths of two more Spotsylvania residents. Both in their 70’s. That’s 34 deaths in the region from COVID-19.

Eileen Sousa with the Health District reports another outbreak at a healthcare facility. 6 people tested positive.

29 people are hospitalized.

The Health District reports 18 new cases since yesterday for a total of 2,293.

As the overall number of COVID-19 tests statewide grows, data from the State Health Department shows the percentage of positive results from testing is down. The seven-day average for percentage of positive test results was 6.14% as of June 15th. The peak was over 22% in April.
