Two Spotsylvania brothers are dead after a Saturday night altercation on Fox Run Drive.

The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office says 48-year old Danny Huffman is charged with two counts of malicious wounding, use of a firearm in the commission of a felony and child endangerment.   The Sheriff’s Office says Huffman’s 17-year old son was with him at the time of the incident.   Captain Liz Scott tells us she expects the charges to be upgraded in the next few days.

The brothers are 38 and 39 years old.   Huffman called 9-1-1 Saturday night and told police he had been cut on the arm by one of the victims during an altercation before the shooting.

Captain Scott says when officers arrived the victims were found deceased in their car on Fox Run Drive.  She says the murders appear are from a road rage incident.   Captain Scott said the weapon used was found in a pond on Huffman’s property by Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office divers.

Huffman was treated for a non-life threating injury.  Authorities say the early investigation indicates Huffman did not know the victims and had no prior history.

Huffman is being held without bond in the Rappahannock Regional Jail.
