FPD Attempting to Identify Arson Suspect
The Fredericksburg Police Department is releasing new video from the arson at Police Headquarters on May 31st in an attempt to identify the suspect. At approximately 12:35 AM, an unknown male poured a flammable fluid on the Fallen Officer Memorial and the front entrance to Police Department headquarters. Two small fires ensued, but were quickly extinguished by the Fredericksburg Fire Department. There were no injuries caused by the flames. The Fredericksburg Police Department and the Fredericksburg Fire Marshal are conducting a joint investigation. The Department is offering a cash-reward for information leading to the arrest of the suspect. Anyone with information regarding this incident is asked to call (540) 373-3122.
