by | Aug 7, 2020 | Health & Wellness

The coronavirus numbers keep going up locally. The Rappahannock Area Health District reports 88 new cases of COVID-19. The State Health Department says the increase could be tied to a backlog of cases that should have been reported Tuesday and Wednesday. However, Health District spokesperson Allison Balmes-John says numbers in the region are trending up.

The number of hospitalizations are up (23) and the percentage of positive tests among total tests taken are also up (7.2%).

Parents were notified that three Caroline High School staff members tested positive.
