Through traffic on Route 608 (West Catharpin Road) in Spotsylvania will be detoured between Route 606 (Post Oak Road) and Route 612 (Pamunkey Road) on today and tomorrow to allow VDOT crews to install a new drainage pipe.
West Catharpin Road will be closed to through traffic around 7 a.m. today and will remain closed through approximately 5 p.m. Wednesday.
Motorists will be guided to use a detour route along Pamunkey Road. All driveways will remain open during this work zone, and residents will continue to have access.
Message boards are posted to notify through travelers of the road closure and detour.
