BBB issues alert on two Fredericksburg online companies

by | Oct 29, 2020 | Non-Profits

Better Business Bureau serving Central Virginia (BBB-CV) is issuing a consumer alert about two online websites using Fredericksburg locations for alleged retail and employment scams.
MapikUSA, came to BBB-CV’s attention after receiving complaints in September alleging buying products online at their site www.mapikusa.com, and never receiving the items. In the last 30 days, BBB-CV has received 2,032 inquiries into the company. Inquiries are requests for information on a company. At this point, 24 complaints have been received, including one from the customer who owns the home location www.mapikusa.com claims to be doing business out of, however, the website was registered in India on May 12, 2020 and updated on October 19, 2020.
PSN USA, LLC, came to BBB-CV’s attention after receiving 147 inquiries into the company for alleged employment scams, claiming promises for a monthly base salary of $2,800-$4,000, with an additional $50 per package shipped. Once it’s time for the “employee” to get paid, the company blocks them and disappears. They are using www.psn-usallc.com as their website, and www.dash-psn.com (as the portal used for shipping). BBB research shows that the company website originates out of Holland and was created August 26, 2020.
If you’ve experienced a problem with this company, BBB recommends reporting your complaint to the FBI Internet Crime Complaint Center at www.ic3.gov and also register your experience on BBB Scamtracker and file a complaint with BBB.org
