Stafford deputies prevent 22-year old suspect from fleeing on foot on Warrenton Road

by | Feb 8, 2021 | Police and Fire

From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office:

At 2:55 p.m. Deputy R.K. Pinkard observed Desiree Foxx, 22, of no fixed address, walking on the shoulder of Warrenton Road near I-95. He was aware she had an active warrant for a violation of pretrial. When Deputy Pinkard stopped to take her into custody, Foxx attempted to flee on foot through traffic. She miscalculated her ability to outrun the law and was quickly taken into custody by Deputy Pinkard and Deputy B.W. Gildea after approximately 30 yards.
A search incident to arrest revealed a suspected controlled substance and controlled paraphernalia. Her charges now include possession of a controlled substance, possession of controlled paraphernalia and resisting arrest. She has been placed into the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
