Spotsylvania man charged with placing cameras in co-worker’s city home

From Fredericksburg Police:

On January 31st, a concerned father contacted the Fredericksburg Police Department after his daughter discovered a strange device above an AC vent in her guest bathroom. Her father then found the same device above the AC vent in her master bathroom.
The case was assigned to Detective G. Mejia who determined the devices were cameras and were pointed toward the shower and toilet. The victim advised Detective Mejia the only people with access to her apartment were maintenance and a co-worker, Jamshaid Chaudhry. Chaudhry was given a key to access the apartment temporarily to collect deliveries for the victim while she was away.
During her investigation, Detective Mejia determined Mr. Jamshaid Chaudhry, 27, of Spotsylvania County was the suspect.
On February 8th, 2021, Detective Mejia obtained and served the following misdemeanor warrants on Chaudhry:
• Peeping into an occupied dwelling
• Interfering with property rights of another (two charges)
• Attempt to commit a misdemeanor
This incident occurred at an apartment located in the 400 block of Cobblestone Drive.
