Two others charged in case of body found in Spotsylvania

From the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office:
Spotsylvania Detectives have made additional arrests in the murder of Dylan Whetzel who was located deceased on February 01, 2021 in the area of Pamunkey Rd and Finney Rd in the Western part of Spotsylvania County. On February 10, 2021 Detectives arrested Bronwyn C. Meeks, 21-years of age and Domonic Samuels both from Spotsylvania, VA.
Samuels was charged with defilement of a dead human body, conspiracy to defile a dead human body, concealment of a dead body, conspiracy to conceal a dead body, conceal or compound evidence and conspiracy to conceal or compound evidence. Meeks has been charged with conceal or compound evidence and conspiracy to conceal or compound evidence. Both individuals are incarcerated under no bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. As the investigation continues charges may be upgraded after consultation with the Commonwealths Attorney’s Office.
Detectives were also able to exclude a previously charged suspect. Dominic McCall who was initially charged after eyewitness accounts had charges nolle prossed after Detectives presented recently obtained forensic evidence to the Commonwealth’s Attorney. The forensic evidence took several days to obtain and due to the lack of cooperation of individuals under investigation at that time, we were unable to exclude McCall as a suspect.
