Multiple DUI arrests in Stafford last weekend

by | Feb 24, 2021 | Police and Fire

From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office:
On February 21 at 3:42 p.m., Deputy D.R. Ludolph responded to a head-on collision in the 1400 block of Forbes Street. The investigation revealed the driver, Kathleen Puglisi, 46, of Stafford, was travelling in the southbound lanes when she crossed over the double yellow line into oncoming traffic. Her vehicle then collided head-on with the victim’s vehicle. Deputy Ludolph noticed Puglisi smelled of alcoholic beverages. She was arrested for driving under the influence, reckless driving, and refusal of test. She was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. The victim was treated at the hospital for injuries sustained in the crash.
Stafford County Sheriff’s Deputies made multiple DUI arrests over this past weekend. Drunk driving puts your life and the lives of others at risk. Last year, 264 people were killed in alcohol-related crashes in Virginia. If you plan on being out drinking, plan a sober ride home ahead of time.
