Governor eases some COVID restrictions

From the Governor’s Office:

Thanks to the hard work and sacrifice of all Virginians, new #COVID19 cases, hospitalizations, and positivity rates across the Commonwealth are the lowest they have been in nearly three months. That’s why next week we will begin to gradually ease some public health restrictions.
Starting Monday, March 1:
☑️ The maximum capacity for outdoor social gatherings will increase from 10 to 25 people. Indoor gatherings will still be limited to 10 individuals.
☑️ Alcohol sales will be permitted until midnight, extended from 10:00 PM.
☑️ Outdoor entertainment venues can operate with up to 1,000 individuals or at 30% capacity, whichever is lower. Indoor venues will continue to have a 250-person cap.
As we take these steps to safely ease public health guidelines, it’s important that we all remain vigilant—that’s how we will maintain our progress. The more we stay home, mask up, and practice social distancing, the more lives we will save from this dangerous virus.
