Brief travel delays are possible this week on Interstate 95 in the Fredericksburg area with daytime and overnight lane closures scheduled for multiple construction work zones.
Intermittent full traffic stops are scheduled north of Exit 133 (Route 17) in Stafford at the site of the future Truslow Road overpass under construction at mile marker 134. I-95 northbound or southbound traffic will be stopped for up to 30-minute intervals between midnight and 3 a.m. on Tuesday through Friday mornings this week.
Various construction activities will be underway on the interstate for several projects as part of the Improve 95 program:
• I-95 Southbound Rappahannock River Crossing
• I-95 Northbound Rappahannock River Crossing
• I-95 Express Lanes Fredericksburg Extension
• Route 17 (Mills Drive) I-95 Overpass Replacement
Most lane closures are scheduled at night and during daytime off-peak travel times to minimize delays for motorists.
Weather permitting, the following lane closures are set to start tonight, Monday, March 15, through early Saturday, March 20:
