The Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office has released an artist sketch of last week’s shooting and attempted robbery at the Knights Inn on Market Street.
Deputies found that a hotel guest was walking towards his room on May 12th about 9:45pm when he was approached from behind by an unknown age black male who displayed a firearm and demanded items from the victim. The victim attempted to run into his hotel room and shut the door when the suspect fired several shots into the room. No one was hit by the gunfire and there were no injuries reported.
The suspect fled the scene on foot and no further description is available at this time. Detectives are currently following up on leads and evidence recovered from the scene.
