From Stafford County Public Schools:
On Tuesday, June 29, 2021, the Stafford County School Board unanimously approved BWP & Associates (BWP) to conduct the search for a new Superintendent of Stafford County Public Schools. Dr. Kevin Castner and Dr. E. Wayne Harris, both former Virginia Superintendents, delivered a presentation of the process and qualifications of this national search firm that specializes in assisting boards seeking superintendents and educational professionals.
“Selection of the best superintendent candidates for their school division is the single most important decision made by any School Board,” said Holly H. Hazard, Stafford County School Board Chair. “Community engagement is a very important part of the recruitment process. In light of the time of the year for selection of a new superintendent, the Board unanimously decided to engage in a targeted Community Engagement
process.”
The primary objective of the public engagement process is to learn and identify the strengths, needs, and issues of the school system from the perspective of a variety of school and community stakeholders. A Leadership Profile will then be developed with this information, which will be used to recruit the best slate of candidates to meet the division’s needs.

A Superintendent Leadership Profile will be presented to the Board in early August based on the prior
profile supplemented with recent community engagement comments. (August 10)
