A 43-year old Ruther Glen man was arrested late Sunday night in King George and charged with attempting to steal the catalytic converter from a vehicle at Bayside Ford on 301 in King George.

The King George Sheriff’s Office says a deputy and his K-9 partner were on patrol at the car dealership about 11:30pm when the officer spotted someone underneath a vehicle on the lot.   When Deputy Nobles confronted the suspect, the man took off running into the woods.

Sgt. Kecia Wharton said the suspect emerged from the woods before the K-9 was set loose.

43 year old Timothy Webb was arrested and charged felony possession of burglary tools, felony destruction of property, and misdemeanor entering of property with intent to damage. Webb was taken before a magistrate and sent to the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
