City Police arrest local high school teacher for indecent liberties with a child
Fredericksburg Police say a Stafford County high school teacher was arrested Tuesday for taking indecent liberties with a child. City Police spokesperson Sarah Morris says in early September, the Stafford County Sheriff’s Office was notified that 33-year-old Marcus Salley, a high school teacher, was having relations with a minor.
An investigation revealed that Salley was having an online relationship with a minor residing in another state through an instant messaging app. The case was then turned over to Fredericksburg police when it was determined Salley’s actions occurred in the city.
Salley was arrested on two charges of indecent liberties with a child and a charge of solicitation to possess child pornography.
Salley is being held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail without bond.
