From the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office:
On November 21, 2021 at approximately 1:20 AM, deputies with the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office responded to the 4500 block of Mine Road for a report of a male laying in the roadway.
Upon arrival, they found a 35-year-old Fredericksburg man unconscious with no visible injuries. The male was subsequently transported to a local hospital. Later that evening, law enforcement was notified by a family member that the victim had been transferred to Virginia Medical Center.
Medical staff at VCU reports that the male had significant internal injuries possibly consistent with being struck by a vehicle. The victim was listed in critical condition.
Detectives with the Sheriff’s Office are investigating this incident and attempting to retrace with victim’s whereabouts prior to this incident. The victim is a white male dressed in a black sweatshirt and blue jeans. We ask anyone with information to please call the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office with information.
