MWHC: “Healthcare workers are tired. They are discouraged.”
From Mary Washington Healthcare:
Remember back when the pandemic first started, and we all hunkered down at home and supported each other? Meals poured in for our tired healthcare workers, handmade cards from children adorned the walls, and we chalked the walk and hung up hearts to encourage each other.
Fredericksburg, we need you now more than ever. Our healthcare workers have kept up this pace for almost 2 years without a break. They are tired. They are discouraged. But they keep going. For you. For their families. For themselves.
If not them, who?
If you feel at all prompted to help out by sending food to a unit, small care kits to a department, or coffee gift cards to our frontline workers, please email [email protected] to coordinate with our team. (Please do not just bring items to the front desk of the hospital. We are not equipped to handle individual donations of one or two meals.)
Thank you for all you have done and the support you have shown. We are #stillinthistogether.
A note about the donations:
• Must be store-bought, pre-packaged (nothing homemade)
• Meal donations – please use vendor that delivers – coordinate through [email protected]
• Restaurant/coffee/grocery store gift cards to sponsor a unit or units
• Goodie bags with snacks/notes of appreciation
