From the Stafford Sheriff’s Office:

A pursuit through North Stafford Friday night ended with intentional vehicle contact and no bond for the intoxicated, reckless driver.
On February 18th at 10:51 p.m. Deputy D.S. Jett was northbound on U.S. 1 when he observed several vehicles traveling southbound near Clearview Lane at over 100 mph. He was able to catch up to one of the vehicles, a grey Chrysler 300 with no illuminated taillights, as the vehicle entered the I-95 North ramp from U.S. 1. The Chrysler accelerated to over 115 mph and weaved between motorists as the suspect attempted to elude Deputy Jett.
The pursuit was terminated at the Prince William County Line, but the suspect exited I-95 onto Russell Road and came back into Stafford County on U.S. 1, blowing past Deputy J.K. Griffith at 91 mph. Deputy Griffith reestablished the pursuit until the suspect lost control near the crucifix. The suspect spun out and briefly stopped, but then tried to drive away again. Deputy Griffith used this opportunity to make intentional vehicle contact to end the pursuit.
The suspect was ordered from the vehicle and detained. He was identified as Rakeen Carlisle, 28, of Stafford. Carlisle had a strong odor of alcoholic beverage on his breath and glassy eyes. Field sobriety tests were offered and he was arrested.
Carlisle’s reckless behavior is at least ended for the holiday weekend, as he was held without bond at the Rappahannock Regional Jail. He has been charged with DUI, eluding, reckless driving and aggressive driving.
Drive sober or get pulled over.
