Late night Stafford fire contained to home garage
From Stafford Fire and Rescue:
At around 9:45 p.m. on Tuesday, May 3rd, units with Stafford County Fire and Rescue (SCFR) were dispatched for a reported structure fire in the 100 block of Natchez Lane in the southern portion of the county. First arriving units marked on scene approximately five minutes later with heavy
fire showing from the garage area of a two story, single family residence. The fire was extinguished in less than five minutes.
All four occupants of the home evacuated prior to the arrival of units and no injuries were reported. Smoke alarms were present and working at the time of the fire. The residents declined the assistance of the American Red Cross.
The fire is under investigation by the Stafford County Fire Marshal’s Office. Units were assisted on scene by the Fredericksburg Fire Department.
