A project to repair a large drainage box culvert on Route 639 (Ladysmith Road) over May’s Run in Caroline County has been extended. Ladysmith Road will remain closed to through traffic between Route 638 (S. River Road) and Route 764 (Scott’s Lane) through late June.
The road closed to traffic on April 5, and was anticipated to reopen in May, but more time will be required for construction.
After excavation work began on site, additional deterioration was discovered at the culvert, requiring further design and construction work to restore the site and drainage features.
