PHOTOS: Letter carriers pick up food in the area for Stamp Out Hunger

From the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank:

Here’s a glimpse into what collecting enough food for 26,500 meals in a single day looks like!
We are truly grateful to the local branch of the National Association of Letter Carriers under the coordination of Paula Schenemann for its participation in the annual Stamp Out Hunger food drive. Local mail carriers picked up non-perishable food items from homes as they delivered the mail today and our warehouse is loaded with food tonight which shows what a difference a strong community can make.
Thanks to all who made this impactful day possible! We look forward to organizing the food received in the days ahead and sharing it with those facing hunger in our community.
If you would like to volunteer to sort this food for distribution to the community, please sign up at https://www.fredfood.org/ or call (540) 371-7666 ext. 131.
