by | Jun 7, 2022 | Non-Profits

From the Fredericksburg Regional Food Bank:

Families with youth 18 and under will be able to access free meals in a drive-up grab-and-go style to provide key nutritional support for their children for two days at a time from five sites we will operate around the area through August 5.
On Tuesdays and Thursdays beginning June 7, we will be distributing meals at the following sites and times:
Salem Church Library (2607 Salem Church Road, Fredericksburg) from 11:30 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Oxford Mount Zion Baptist Church (25215 Zion Road, Ruther Glen) from 11:00 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Ladysmith Community Center (7728 Ladysmith Road, Ruther Glen) from 12:00 – 1:00 p.m.
On Wednesdays and Fridays, beginning June 8, we will be distributing meals at the following sites and times:
Snow Library (8740 Courthouse Road, Spotsylvania) from 11:45 a.m. – 1:00 p.m.
Caroline Family YMCA (17422 Library Boulevard, Ruther Glen) from 12:00 – 1:30 p.m.
In late June, two Stafford County sites will be added to the rotation and schedules announced at that time.
Here are links to local school district sites to provide some information about their summer feeding resources:
We urge parents to make use of the sites near them for the nutritional benefit of their children and the cost-benefit this program can offer families. It is estimated regular participation of families in the Summer Feeding Program will result in a cost savings for them of approximately $350 per child during the summer.
Please, let’s all do our part to help keep kids healthy this summer!
