City carjacking suspect arrested after rollover crash in Spotsy

From the Spotsylvania Sheriff’s Office:

On July 19, 2022 at approximately 11:09PM, Deputies were notified by the Fredericksburg Police Department of a carjacking that just occurred at the Wawa located in Central Park near Plank Road. Deputies responded to the area to attempt to locate the suspect and vehicle. While responding officers were in route, our 911 Center received a report of a motor vehicle crash that occurred in the 6000 block of Plank Road.

Deputies quickly arrived to find the stolen vehicle reported in the carjacking had rolled over multiple times. Gregory Scott Robertson, twenty-eight years of age from Spotsylvania was arrested for driving under the influence (2nd offense in 5 years), possession of a stolen vehicle, refusal of a breath or blood sample, and driving revoked (DUI related).

Warrants for carjacking and shoplifting were obtain by the Fredericksburg Police Department. Robertson was arrested on all warrants and held at the Rappahannock Regional Jail under no bond.
